Real Madrid took a 3-0 lead against troubled Levante into the break thanks to goals from Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Sergio Ramos (great cross from Guti) and another from Van Nistelrooy. Geijo pulled one back on 53 but Sneijder restored the three-goal cushion two minutes later with a terrific free-kick. On 64, Geijo scored his second of the game. Sergio Ramos got his second of the game with twelve minutes to go. (Following the game, Real Madrid were presented with the La Liga trophy.) |

In his final game in charge of Barcelona, Frank Rijkaard witnessed a flurry of goals in a seventeen-minute spell in the first-half. Real Murcia took the lead when Ocoha headed home, but Barca replied with goals from Samuel Eto’o, Thierry Henry and Giovanni Dos Santos. Seven minutes into the second period, Dos Santos scored his second of the match with a delightful chip and the youngster (rumoured to be on his way to Manchester City or Chelsea) completed his hat-trick fourteen minutes later with a great left-foot finish. Late on the home side pulled a couple of goals back, Ivan from a pen and a free-kick from Abel. |

In the second-half Thierry Henry scored his second of the game with a fine curling effort from outside the box. Bojan added the fifth on 72 and the sixth on 79. |

Fabio Cannavaro was sent-off for two bookable offences at Osasuna, in the first-half (highlights here) he received a yellow for a poor tackle on Portillo and early in the second half he was booked and sent-off for another bad tackle from behind. Punal put Osasuna one-up from the penalty spot on 83 minutes but Real turned the game on its head with late goals from Robben and Higuain. Real Madrid secured their 31st La Liga title with this victory. |

But a resurgent Valencia drew level when Villa steered home a penalty, and Los Che turned the match on its head when Arizmendi bagged an 88th minute solo winner to give Barca new hope in the title race. Special mention to Hilderbrand, who made a string of terrific saves for Valencia. |
