Christopher Samba headed Blackburn into the lead in injury time at the end of the first half. Kenwyne Jones drew Sunderland level five minutes into the second half with an overhead volley from two yards. And Djibril Cisse won all three points for Sunderland 20 minutes from time when he beat the offside trap to lift the ball over the advancing Robinson.
