AC Milan 2 - 1 Inter Milan

Pippo Inzaghi missed a great chance to put AC Milan ahead in the derby, Cesar saved well after Kaka had put Inzaghi through and at the end of the first-half the veteran Italian striker fluffed an even easier opportunity. But after the break Inzaghi finally broke the deadlock, turning home Kaka’s cross with a flying header. And one quickly became two when Inter’s defence gave the ball away to Kaka, and the Brazilian bagged the second with aplomb. Julio Cruz pulled a goal back with a wonderful free-kick, but it was too little too late and Milan recorded a vital win in their quest for fourth spot.
