Sampdoria 3 - 3 Juventus

Juve hit their stride early on against Sampdoria, rolling back the years as Nedved burst forward and fed Del Piero, with the striker finishing with ease. The Bianconeri continued to press, and were rewarded when Trezeguet added a second from the spot after Del Piero was hacked down in the box. But Samp hit back. Antonio Cassano showed lovely close control on the left hand side before scoring a fine solo goal from a tight angle. And with Cassano bringing the crowd to life, Samp equalised as Cristian Maggio scored a screamer from 25 yards out with the outside of his right boot. Then, on the stroke of half time, Cassano missed a penalty to end a thrilling 45 minutes. Juve were reduced to 10-men when Sissoko was sent off on the hour, but the black and whites notched a third goal when Del Piero scored from the spot. But Samp refused to be beaten, and Montella hit the leveller 10 minutes from time after brilliant work from Cassano.
